North-South Alliance for Inclusive water, sanitation, and hygiene (All4WASH)
Inadequate water supply and sanitation remains an intractable challenge with dire consequences on the environment, livelihoods, and public health. Poor and marginalized groups, particularly women, girls and ethnic minorities are disproportionately affected. Addressing these challenges requires an expansion and reinvigoration of international co-operation, and capacity building to support water and sanitation related activities and programs. The All4WASH project brings together the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), three Africa Centers of Excellence in water supply and sanitation, and their alliance Universities in Mali, Uganda, and South Africa to confront some of the global and local challenges of water and sanitation through mutual co-operation. The project aims to strengthen inclusive education and research in sustainable water supply and sanitation in the partner Universities through co-curriculum development, student/academic staff exchange, joint research projects and co-supervision.
The project is funded by the Norwegian Partnership for Global Academic Cooperation.(NORPART)
